HSM's Trophy Gold Premium match-grade rifle ammunition is fitted with Berger VLD (Very Low Drag) bullets that penetrate 2" to 3" before expansion. The expansion process fragments the bullets, causing massive wounding. Because most of the bullet's energy is expended inside your target, quick and humane kills are ensured. The Berger VLD bullet design features a boat tail design and a long secant ogive. This ogive shape allows the bullet to experience less drag as it flies to the target, therefore producing a flatter bullet flight that is less affected by wind (less drift). It also produces higher velocities than comparable bullet designs. HSM ammunition is made with Winchester brass, match-grade primers and powders that are not affected by temperature or altitude.
